You can check your HELB loan balance by sending an SMS with the word ‘BAL’ followed by your ID number to 5122. Alternatively, you may download the HELB app or visit the HELB website and request your balance.

Steps for Paying HELB Loan via M-PESA

To use this service, you need to have an M-Pesa account and enough money in your account to make the payment. Here’s how to pay your student loan using M-Pesa Paybill:

Step 1: Go to the M-Pesa Menu on your phone.
